In this post, we’ll discuss how you can use our online design center to design every detail of your home’s remodeling project to create the perfect look.

Determining the Best Look For Your Home

Before you get started with our design tool, it’s a good idea to assess your own design goals. Don’t just go with the simplest available option. Whether you’re installing windows or new doors, it’s important not to underestimate how dramatically these details can alter the look of a room or area of your home.

When looking at new designs, consider the following:

1.      What dimensions of window or door are you looking for?

2.      Do you need a specialty product such as an egress window?

3.      What architectural design is your home?

Choosing a New Look

Our Window World Design Center is an online tool which homeowners can use to select the best products for their homes. It includes a Window Showcase where you’re able to browse through all of the stunning window options available. Once you’ve got an idea of what you’re looking for, use the Design Center’s Product Visualizer to see how it will look on your home.

The visualizer allows users to upload an image of their home.

Check out a virtual reproduction of the interior of your home including the correct paint color before adding a digital replica your new windows to see how they look. You’ll be able to choose the type of window, color options, woodgrains, cut glass look, and grid trim for your windows.

Using the Design Showcase

The Design Showcase is a tool so simple to use anyone can use it. It is optimized for both Mac and Windows computers, or you can use it on your handheld device or smartphone. To use, simply click on the Design Center page. Next, you’ll be directed to choose from either the Window Showcase or the Product Visualizer. To use the Visualizer, you can either use from one of Window World’s photos or upload your own.

Choosing Your Siding

Once you’re inside the design tool, you should be looking at an image of a home’s exterior. If you don’t have an image of your own home’s exterior, choose from one of ten images in a similar style to your own home. From there, you’ll be able to select a roofing style similar to the look of your home to give you the most accurate exterior image possible. Next, it’s time to choose your siding options. Choose from Window World siding options like clapboard and dutchlap. Next, select a siding color from options such as Juniper Ridge, Natural Linen, and Mystic Blue.

Choose Your Entry Door

Once your virtual home has the perfect siding, it’s time to select your entry door. As the entrance to your home, an entry door should be gracious and inviting. Choose from a wide range of options including fire-rated doors, fiber-classic door systems, Profiles or Traditions steel door systems, Classic-Craft door systems, and more. Next, you’ll select your door’s height and look. You’ll choose from options like wood grain or the elegant Canvas Collection. Next, choose from wood stains like cedar, walnut, and cherry.

Once you’ve chosen your basic door options, you’ll add these details:

●        Door shape

●        Sidelites

●        Door glass

●        Transoms

●        Handlesets

Choosing the Right Windows

Now that you’ve chosen the best siding and a beautiful entry door, it’s time to choose your home’s windows. At Window World Twin Cities, windows are what we’re known for. You’ll first choose the style and shape of your windows. Do you want double-hung windows, casement windows, or a lovely bow window? For your next step, you’ll decide if you’d like to add one of Window World’s shutter designs. Then, choose from design colors for your window’s exterior like English Red, Hudson Khaki, and Forest Green. Finally, you’ll select an interior woodgrain finish.

Here are just a few of the interior woodgrain options you’ll choose from:

●        Dark Oak

●        Soft Maple

●        Rich Maple

●        Cherry
